A sad shelter puppy goes crazy with joy when the firefighter who rescued him shows up to adopt him.
It was during an emergency phone call that firefighters detected a shivering puppy abandoned on the side of the highway in the rain.
His cruel owner had not only abandoned him, but had left the three-month-old baby tied to a tree so that he could not escape his no-win scenario.
On a cool day in Sacramento, firefighters identified Portion the pooch but were unable to stop as they went to an emergency call.
However, the kind-hearted firefighters did not fail to remember the frightened animal and, once their phone call was over, they returned to free him and take him back to the firehouse to help him warm up.
Firefighter Mike Thawley remembers exactly how the dog was shivering and why he saved Chunk.
Mike and his colleagues gave Portion a cozy bath and covered her up with all the love they could muster to keep her warm.
Unfortunately, this puppy needed more than just warmth, he was suffering from a serious illness, which had resulted in the loss of his fur, which, like everything else, had been neglected.
She was taken to an animal shelter where she was treated for mange and examined to ensure she remained in good condition.
But while Piece was relaxing, there was one person who couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Firefighter Mike Thawley had to return to his four-legged friend.
“We all went crazy for her,” the Sacramento Fire Department said on its Facebook page.
Piece couldn’t help but wag her tail at the sight of the firefighter who rescued her. But Mike wasn’t just there for a visit, accompanied by his wife and also three little girls, the firefighters wanted to hug the pooch.
After 4 months, Chunk was well enough to leave the sanctuary and go live with Mike and his family.
