A woman gives a chance at life to a stray kitten, who now wears a crooked but beautiful smile every day.

A young girl gave a stray kitten a chance at life, who now wears a crooked but beautiful smile every day.

A stray kitten was brought into a veterinary clinic in bad shape. He was covered in filth and had extreme infections (including calicivirus), which had resulted in the loss of tissue around his mouth.

Ahsen, an animal rescuer in Turkey, was informed of the kitten and rushed to see him. The little stray cat was scruffy, smelly, dirty, and sick, but as soon as he saw a client, he stood up on his toes and put his paw on the kennel door, looking for love.

“They said she was too small and wouldn’t last, but she persevered,” Ahsen says.

Ahsen couldn’t leave without giving the kitten a fighting chance. She took the little one home and gave it a space of its own so it could start healing.

The kitten, named Zombie, received a grim prognosis, but Ahsen was determined to do everything she could to help him recover. She cleaned his mouth and put him on medication.

Zombi’s mouth had become twisted from the infections. She had a long road to recovery, but she was remarkably content to have a comfortable place to curl up and a loving human to support her.

Ahsen carefully cleaned her mouth and used medication to treat her wounds. She provided a supplement to treat her anemia and made sure the kitten was always loved.

For the first time in a while, the kitten was eating without crying, and he was able to drink from a water fountain. Whenever Ahsen met his needs, Zombi was grateful and absorbed all the attention.

Over the next few weeks, Zombi gained a lot of weight and his mouth healed nicely. After the extraction of two baby teeth, she was able to eat much more easily and without discomfort.

Knowing she was going to be okay, Ahsen could finally breathe a sigh of relief and make Zombi an official member of her extended family.

After almost two months of restoration, the little cat got a much-needed spa day. She was about to mingle with the rest of the feline crew.

The kitten with an eternal smile on her face joined the other resident cats who accepted her as their own.

They taught Zombie to play with toys and invited her to eat with them.

Zombi immediately became attached to Zikri the tuxedo cat and started to follow him everywhere, as if they had been together all their lives.

The kitten discovered that he was a wonderful wrestler and that Zikri had the stamina of a saint to cope with his unbridled vitality.

“Being able to help animals like Zombi fills me with joy. It’s a helpful feeling to be able to say ‘we did it,’ to see their change and contribute to it.”

With her smile and larger-than-life personality, Zombi brings joy wherever she goes. She regularly lives life to the fullest with a focus on her goals.
