No One Wanted To Adopt These Blind Cats But One Woman Made A Difference
Blue, Meadow, and Little Willow are three blind cat siblings who no one wanted to adopt, but their lives were permanently transformed when one woman adopted them all at once. The kittens were discovered in a deserted warehouse in Dubai. They had already lost their sight due to a sickness that had gone untreated at the time.
Blue was adopted by his previous owner’s neighbor after that, but the poor cat was so confused; he couldn’t face living without his sisters, so he spent his evenings meowing and looking for them.
Blue returned to the foster home with them until Catherine Magno adopted them.
Catherine stated to Bored Panda:
“I had no prior experience, having only adopted my first kitty two months prior. But his story moved me so deeply that I couldn’t bear the thought of them spending their lives in a cage in a veterinary institution, or worse.”
Catherine was concerned about her animals specific requirements.
“I assumed it wouldn’t be difficult, but it would need me to adjust to a number of things.”
Catherine stated, ”
“I had to keep them locked in my flat that afternoon when I brought them home.”
She went on, saying:
“But it didn’t appear to be that different. All I had to do was leave everything alone; they’re incredibly adaptive.”
Catherine continued, saying:
“With a proper presentation, they are taken with other cats just like the ones they see. Blind pets see through their hearts.”
