Rescuers move heaven and earth to save a sick dog left on a bridge to die.

When Hope For Paws is called to rescue a dog, they move heaven and earth to save him. Dennis was no different, writes Dog full.

“Dennis was abandoned on a bridge and left to die. When a young man, Gabriel Sepulveda, rode by on his skateboard, he saw Dennis and remembered watching the Hope For Paws video on Jordan, so he knew to give us a call,” wrote Eldad Hagar.

“It took Lisa Chiarelli and me two hours to get there, and what we saw was h.o.r.r.i.f.y.i.n.g. Dennis was on the floor, unable to move, and was covered in ticks.”

They rushed him to the hospital and began cleaning him up. Lola, Lisa’s dog, was rushed to the hospital so she could donate blood for Dennis, as he was severely anemic. They worked hard to save him…

“For the next five days, Dennis was examined by neurologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine specialists, but it was all not enough…,” Eldad said. “Dennis was too far gone, and his body was shutting down.”

Dennis passed away shortly thereafter. Rest in peace, Dennis.

“Not every rescue has a happy ending…it’s important to understand that! Dennis was neglected somewhere for a long time, and no one spoke up for him. If you see an animal in need, say something…do something,” Eldad pleads. “Please share so that people know to take action the next time they see a case of neglect or abuse. Thank you, Eldad.”
