This is an essential part of growing up as an animal. But when a baby is left alone to fend for itself, the fear and pain is just too great.

For this little puppy who lost his mom, every moment was filled with uncertainty. He was weak and scared. Fleas crawled all over his body and flies surrounded him. Scabies had already set in. He was starving because he had no way to fend for himself and find food.

When someone finally spotted him, they immediately called a rescue group. When they arrived, the rescuers couldn’t believe the puppy had survived this long! He had a fighting spirit that gave them hope.

The baby was exhausted and as soon as he felt safe, he fell asleep.

They rushed him to an urgent care center. He was immediately given intravenous fluids, antibiotics and pain medication for his scabies. He was scheduled to begin medicated baths the next morning. The veterinary staff fed him puppy food and kept him warm.

When he got his strength back, he was able to eat puppy food. Everyone who met this adorable puppy immediately fell in love with him. The veterinary staff and the rescue group promised to get him back to good health and find him the perfect forever home.

Well, guess what! They kept their promise. The little puppy that was on the verge of death is now living a wonderful life!

While the world was scary at first, he is now exactly where he belongs and the world is filled with joy.
